  • When you organise an event in Platform, we ask for the following information about you or your business:

    Event Details
    Dietary Requirements if applicable
    Details of attendees where required for table plans etc
    Additional Services required from third parties
    Information required for wedding ceremonies to be held in the venue

 

How will we use information about you?

  • We use this personal information solely to organise your event, invoice the cost of all services provided and for processing your payment/s.
  • We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any other third party for commercial reasons, beyond the essential credit/debit card validation during purchase or for the provision of specific services that you have requested to be provided for your event which we sub contract to other providers e.g. sound/ lighting systems, or specialist furniture and equipment
  • We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • In order to process credit/debit card transactions, the bank or card processing agency may require to verify your personal details for authorisation outside the EEA (European Economic Area). Your information will not be transferred outside the EEA for any other purpose.
  • CCTV – our venue is protected by circuit television (CCTV) systems throughout as deemed necessary and customers should expect all areas (other than those which would contravene common decency) to be visible on a television monitoring system.  CCTV is a requirement of the Licensing Authority and any information obtained will be used with strict adherence to GDPR. Information will be used for the prevention and detection of crime and to ensure compliance with our policies and procedures. This may include using recorded images as evidence in legal proceedings.  We will share footage with Police Scotland and Licensing Authorities if requested to do so but always in accordance with GDPR.

 

Retention Period For Personal Data

 We keep your personal data only for as long as required by us:

  • To provide you with the services you have requested
  • To comply with other legislation, including for the period required for tax purposes
  • To support a claim or defence in court
  • To assist the prevention and detection of crime or fraud

 

Marketing

We would like to send you information about special events, offers, new services and menus which may be of interest to you.  If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date.

You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.  All marketing emails will have an unsubscribe link on the footer.
